This month, the Auro Innovation Centre continued advancing sustainable technologies through practical deployment and research.
Biogas Plant Now Operational at Kalanjiyam, Bahour
Our biogas system is now fully functional at the Kalanjiyam campus in Bahour. This marks a significant step forward in sustainable energy generation using organic waste, helping meet local energy needs while reducing environmental impact.
Innovative Research in Aquatic Feedstock for Biogas
The team is also conducting focused research on biogas production from aquatic biomass, including invasive species like water hyacinth. The goal is to explore new, locally available feedstocks that promote circular economy models and environmental restoration.
Solar Dryer Prototype Development
We’re currently fabricating and studying the efficiency of bed-type solar dryers—designed to dehydrate food sustainably using solar energy. The innovation focuses on improving affordability, drying efficiency, and preserving nutritional value, especially for use in rural and livelihood-based settings.
Through each of these efforts, Auro Innovation Centre is not just solving technical challenges — it’s building climate-conscious solutions rooted in local needs and ecosystems.
