Bridge Education Centre: Growing Attendance and Community Trust Posted on September 22, 2025September 22, 2025 by Divya Priya Previous Next Our Bridge Education Centres continue to make a meaningful impact on students and their communities. In recent months, several centres have seen a significant increase in student attendance, reflecting growing engagement and trust among families. Many parents now arrive early and wait outside until sessions end, demonstrating the importance they place on their child’s learning journey. This reflects not just the program’s educational impact, but also its role in building strong community connections. Savithri Bhai Phule Study Centre, Bahour – Attendance for August 2025 At our learning centres, we prioritize making education enjoyable and meaningful, ensuring students stay motivated. Understanding that children often spend long hours in traditional classrooms, our trained teachers design interactive and playful activities that encourage communication, creativity, and social interaction. Auro Innovation Centre: Expanding Rainfall Monitoring Across Pondicherry Posted on September 22, 2025September 22, 2025 by Divya Priya As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen climate monitoring and water management, the Auroinnovation Centrehas successfully installed rain gauges in Kalapet and Thonnamatham. These installations mark the first steps in a broader plan to set up a network of 10 rain gauges throughout Pondicherry. Rain gauges are simple yet essential tools used to measure the amount of rainfall in a specific location over a given period. By collecting accurate rainfall data, these gauges help in understanding local climate patterns, managing water resources, and planning for sustainable agricultural and urban development. Through this initiative, the Auroinnovation Centre aims to empower communities, researchers, and policymakers with reliable, real-time data to make informed decisions related to water conservation, groundwater recharge, and climate resilience. With the installation of all 10 gauges, Pondicherry will have a comprehensive rainfall monitoring network, enabling better analysis of rainfall distribution and supporting initiatives in environmental sustainability and climate education.

Herbal Garden at Kiliyanur Primary Health Centre (PHC) Posted on September 22, 2025September 22, 2025 by Divya Priya Previous Next Aurovanam continues to extend its influence beyond its own premises, inspiring other institutions to embrace herbal conservation and sustainability. One such impactful outcome occurred when Dr. B. Vasantha Kumari, a Siddha Medical Officer at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Kiliyanur, Villupuram district, visited Aurovanam during a training program organized by the Puducherry Forest Department. During her visit, Dr. Kumari was deeply inspired by the herbal garden at Aurovanam, which showcases a diverse collection of medicinal plants and demonstrates practical ways to integrate herbal knowledge into daily life and healthcare. Motivated to replicate this initiative at her PHC, she submitted a formal request to the Aurovanam team, seeking guidance on creating a similar herbal garden for her patients and the surrounding community. Responding to her request, the Aurovanam team conducted a site visit at the PHC, carefully assessing the space and the specific needs of the center. A detailed plan was devised to ensure that the garden would be both practical and educational. In August 2025, the herbal garden was successfully established at the PHC, with 40 varieties of medicinal plants transplanted from Aurovanam. Dr. Kumari has committed to using this garden as a hands-on educational tool, creating awareness among patients and community members about the medicinal properties and practical applications of the herbs. This initiative not only promotes health and wellness but also demonstrates how Aurovanam’s model can be scaled and adapted to benefit other communities and institutions. Through efforts like this, Aurovanam continues to foster collaboration, inspire sustainable practices, and spread herbal knowledge beyond its own campus, impacting lives and communities across the region.
