The Bridge Education Centre continued to provide enriching learning opportunities for children during the month through a variety of educational, experiential, and skill-building activities. These initiatives aimed to broaden students’ horizons, strengthen their academic foundations, and expose them to new areas of learning beyond the traditional classroom setting.

A major highlight of the month was the three-day Robotics Workshop conducted from 21–23 May 2026. The workshop introduced children to the exciting world of robotics, technology, and innovation through interactive and hands-on learning experiences. Students explored basic robotics concepts, learned how robotic systems function, and gained practical exposure to simple programming and problem-solving techniques. They also had the opportunity to build and operate robotic models, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. The workshop generated immense enthusiasm among participants, with several students expressing a keen interest in attending future robotics programs. Parents and teachers were particularly encouraged to see rural children actively engaging with modern technology and developing skills relevant to the future.

On 19 May 2026, children participated in a Nature and Education Workshop at Aurovanam Nature Education Centre. The workshop provided a unique opportunity for students to connect with nature while learning about environmental conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable living practices. Through guided observations, discussions, and interactive activities, children explored the relationship between nature and everyday life. The experience encouraged curiosity, environmental awareness, and critical thinking while allowing students to enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings of Aurovanam.

The centre also integrated learning with culture through activities involving traditional games such as Pallanguzhi and Thayam. These games served as effective tools for teaching mathematical concepts in a fun and engaging manner. By counting seeds, calculating moves, estimating outcomes, and developing strategies, students strengthened their understanding of arithmetic, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. The activities also promoted concentration, teamwork, and an appreciation of local cultural heritage, demonstrating how traditional knowledge can support modern educational goals.

The month also brought encouraging academic achievements for students appearing for the 10th and 12th Standard Public Examinations. Many students performed exceptionally well and secured commendable results. A particularly proud achievement was recorded by a student from the Kuruvinatham Study Centre, who secured the highest mark in the school, bringing recognition to the centre and serving as an inspiration to fellow students. Bridge Education – Experiential Learning Through Traditional Games and Hands-on Numeracy Activities

As part of the summer engagement programme under Svarnim Puducherry, the Bridge Education centres in April focused on creating meaningful, activity-based learning experiences for students. The initiative was designed to strengthen foundational mathematical skills while also ensuring that children remain actively engaged during the summer period through structured and enjoyable learning methods.

A key highlight of the programme was the introduction of Pallanguzhi, a traditional South Indian mancala-style board game, as a learning tool. The game was integrated into classroom activities to teach core mathematical concepts such as counting, addition, and strategic thinking. By engaging with the game, students were able to naturally develop arithmetic skills while also experiencing a culturally rooted form of learning that promotes focus, patience, and decision-making.

In addition to traditional games, students were also introduced to hands-on learning tools such as measurement jars of varying capacities. These materials were used to build understanding of volume, estimation, and comparative measurement—concepts that form the foundation of numeracy. Through direct experimentation and observation, students were encouraged to explore mathematical relationships in a practical and intuitive manner rather than relying solely on textbook learning.

The activities were carefully designed to combine learning with play, ensuring that students remained motivated and curious throughout the sessions. This approach also helped strengthen problem-solving abilities, spatial understanding, and logical reasoning, while making abstract mathematical concepts more tangible and easier to grasp.

Joyful Learning at the Bridge Education Centre – February 2026


During February, the children at the Evening Study Centre participated in engaging and joyful learning activities that encouraged creativity, curiosity, and teamwork.

One of the highlights of the month was a Riddle Competition organized by the children themselves. In this activity, one child would present a riddle while the others attempted to guess the correct answer. Participants were allowed to give hints to help others solve the riddle, and additional clues were provided if the answer was not immediately identified. The activity created a lively and interactive learning environment where all the children enthusiastically participated.

Through this activity, the children strengthened their critical thinking, vocabulary, and creativity. They learned to analyze clues, think logically, and connect ideas to arrive at the correct answers. The riddle competition also helped improve their language skills, memory, and problem-solving abilities. The children greatly enjoyed the activity and expressed interest in organizing similar competitions in the future.


At the end of the month, the children visited a Aurovanam as part of an educational outing. As their examinations had just concluded, the children were excited about the opportunity to travel outside their village and spend time in nature. During the visit, they learned about organic plants and different types of seeds, gaining a better understanding of nature and environmental care.

The outing also included several recreational activities. Before and after lunch, the children enthusiastically played games such as Kho-Kho and Kabaddi, and some even enjoyed climbing trees. These activities allowed them to relax, play freely, and experience a healthy and joyful environment. The nature walk provided them with fresh air and a refreshing break from their regular routine.

At the end of the visit, the children were given seeds to plant in their homes, encouraging them to care for nature and learn about growing plants. The trip to the forest was a memorable experience that combined learning, play, and appreciation for the natural environment.

Tamil Reading & Writing Skill

We are proud to share that Karthika, a student from our Study Centre enrolled in the Bio-Maths group, was recently honoured by the Department of Education at her school for securing 3rd place in Tamil. This recognition is a testament to her hard work and the supportive learning environment at our centre.

Across all our centres, students are steadily improving their language skills, with a growing emphasis now on English proficiency. We believe that confidence in language is a key driver for overall skill development—it enhances communication, critical thinking, and academic performance. Language and mathematics are the foundation of learning. At our centres, we are committed to strengthening our students in both, helping them build the skills they need for long-term success.

NMMS Exam Success

At our coaching centre in Jai Dev, we learn and grow in preparing students for competitive exams like Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) and the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS).

We’re proud to share that a student from our  Periyar study Centre, Aranganurpet., has successfully cleared the NMMS Exam.  We provide regular training and continuous practice to help students gain confidence and succeed in competitive exams. Our program focuses on building strong reasoning skills and mathematical abilities, which are key to success in the NMMS Exam. Every year, we encourage and guide our students to apply for NMMS and similar opportunities, helping them aim higher and achieve their goals.
